DoseMotion Privacy Policy

Overview

DoseMotion is an iPhone and Apple Watch medication-routine assistant published by Morphantic. It does not require an account or use a developer-operated backend. The current privacy manifests declare no data collected by the app and no tracking.

Information stored on your devices

DoseMotion stores app settings, onboarding state, medication schedules, local dose logs, calibration profiles, detection history, and related model state in the app container and UserDefaults. Motion episodes can include timestamps, raw accelerometer and rotation samples, derived motion features, labels, confidence values, and quality flags.

The episode store limits positive training episodes to 200 per profile and negative episodes to 200 overall. Dose logs remain in the local log file until removed. Other settings and schedules remain until you change them or remove the app.

Apple Health

On supported versions of iOS and watchOS, DoseMotion can request read access to Apple Medications and medication dose events. It uses authorized medication names, identifiers, schedules, and dose-event status to create local schedules and reconcile local logs. The current HealthKit integration requests no data types for writing and does not write medication dose events back to Apple Health.

You control Health access in the Health app and iOS Settings. Apple Health data remains subject to Apple platform controls.

Motion, microphone, and location

During configured dose windows and calibration, DoseMotion uses Apple Watch motion sensors to measure wrist movement and estimate whether a medication-taking gesture may have occurred. Motion samples and derived features are processed on your devices and can be saved locally as training episodes.

DoseMotion can analyze a brief microphone stream on the Apple Watch with an on-device sound classifier. The current analyzer does not write raw microphone audio to a file. It can retain derived label probabilities, capture time, and duration as part of local episode features.

If you enable location context, DoseMotion requests a current location and converts the coordinates into a rounded geographic bucket before saving it with a schedule or detection context. Location is used as a soft detection signal, not as proof that a dose was taken.

Network use, analytics, and tracking

The reviewed app source contains no DoseMotion account service, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or app data upload client. DoseMotion does not sell personal information or track you across apps or websites.

Deleting data

You can delete individual medication schedules and calibration profiles in the app and revoke Health, Motion, Microphone, or Location permissions in iOS Settings. Removing DoseMotion deletes its local app container. The current Settings screen displays export and Delete All Data controls that are not connected to the storage deletion method, so do not rely on that button as a complete local wipe in the current build.

DoseMotion does not write medication records to Apple Health. Removing the app therefore does not alter data owned by Apple Health.
